چکیده

Mixed-dimensional heterostructures which combine materials with different dimensions have emerged to expand the scope and functionality of van der Waals heterostructures. Here, a direct synthesis method molybdenum disulfide/double-wall carbon nanotube (MoS2/DWCNT) mixed-dimensional by sulfurating molten salt, Na2MoO4, on substrate covered DWCNT film is reported. The synthesized are comprehensively characterized their stacking order confirmed be MoS2 under DWCNTs, although transferred first. Moreover, field-effect transistors based heterostructure fabricated for photodetection, an abnormal negative photoresponse discovered due strong carrier transfer in light incidence. MoS2/DWCNT results provide new approach applications

The conversion of carbon sources such as coal and methane into liquid fuels, methanol and alkanes, the latter via the Fisher-Tropsch process, requires careful control of the H2/CO ratio in synthesis gas. 1 The control is achieved in industry by the water-gas shift reaction. (Figure 1). 2 The study of carbon monoxide dehydrogenase (CODH) enzymes is significant to the water gas shift reaction bec...

Probing the Dependence of Electron Transfer on Size and Coverage in Carbon Nanotube−Quantum Dot Heterostructures

As a model system for understanding charge transfer in novel architectural designs for solar cells, double-walled carbon nanotube (DWNT)− CdSe quantum dot (QD) (QDs with average diameters of 2.3, 3.0, and 4.1 nm) heterostructures have been fabricated. The individual nanoscale building blocks were successfully attached and combined using a hole-trapping thiol linker molecule, i.e., 4-mercaptophe...

Strong carbon-nanotube fibers spun from long carbon-nanotube arrays.

The superior mechanical properties of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) mean they have been regarded as a new material with the potential to revolutionize and enable many advanced technologies. CNTs have extremely high tensile strength ( 150 GPa), high modulus ( 1 TPa), large aspect ratio, low density, good chemical and environmental stability, and high thermal and electrical conductivity. These superior...

Carbon nanotube-sharp tips and carbon nanotube-soldering irons

We report on the nano-electron beam assisted fabrication of atomically sharp iron-based tips and on the creation of a nano-soldering iron for nano-interconnects using Fe-filled multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs). High energy electron beam machining has been proven a powerful tool to modify desired nanostructures for technological applications (1-4) and to form molecular junctions and interco...

Carbon nanotube junctions and devices Carbon nanotube junctions and devices

Carbon nanotubes are molecules entirely made of carbon atoms. Owing to their special shape, they are extremely stiff but also very flexible. The electronic properties are determined by the exact symmetry of the nanotube lattice, resulting in either metallic or semiconducting behavior. Due to their small diameter, electronic motion is directed in the length direction of the nanotube, making them...
